We do like it when Dutch dance veterans go through their old DAT-tapes. It's like digging for gold, which is often found. On the Dreech EP on SoHaSo Records, DJ Remy takes us back to his RoXY days. That time when we all ate strobes for breakfast and recognized a Pump Up The Jam-sample whenever we saw one. Opener 'Lost DAT One' is a gem. Remy proves he still packs a punch today, with the freshly produced breakbeat infused 'Stampkramp'.

Remy shares this vintage feel-EP with Joannes, a techno producer from the north of The Netherlands who has a fetish for hardware and a keen ear for oldschool house sounds. Cowbells and handclaps are plentyful on his two takes, and so is humour. On the fast-paced 'Claps for Richie' he builds and builds to a blissful liquid break, only to cut it short. What a guy. And what a great EP.
